Getting started

Requirements

  • Shopware 6.7 (the plugin targets >= 6.7.0.0, < 6.8.0.0).
  • For upsells on PayPal-paid orders: the official SwagPayPal extension (tested with SwagPayPal 10.x). It is optional: invoice, prepayment, cash on delivery and direct debit need nothing extra. See PayPal setup.

Install and switch on

  1. Install and activate Post-Purchase Upsell from the Extensions area.
  2. Open Post-Purchase Upsell in the admin's main menu (under Marketing). You will see three tabs: Campaigns, Analytics and Health.
  3. Check the master switch. It ships on, so offers go live as soon as an active campaign matches an order. To set everything up first, turn it off (in the plugin settings) until you are ready, then switch it back on. See Global settings.
  4. Create your first campaign: see Campaigns.
  5. Place a test order to see the offer in action.

A quick first campaign

The fastest way to see it work:

  1. Campaigns → Add campaign.
  2. General: give it an internal name, leave Active on.
  3. The offer: pick an Offered product (a small accessory works well).
  4. Leave everything else at its defaults: the trigger is Always, all supported payment methods and all sales channels are pre-selected.
  5. Save.
  6. Place a test order paid by invoice. On the confirmation step you will be sent to the offer page; click add and check the product is added to the order.
Tip

The Health tab is your first stop if an offer does not appear. It checks the master switch, that you have an active campaign, that offered products are valid, and more, in plain words. See Health check.
